We were able to exceed our fundraising goal thanks to the generosity of our Renton Park community. Over $9,300 was raised to support field trips, community events, and enrichment activities at our school. $1300 of that came from 22 companies that matched donations. Pledges were collected from 20 different states and 2 countries. It was fun to watch the students celebrate their accomplishment by coming together this afternoon to run laps and have fun. Thank you, thank you thank you! Renton Park Roadrunners rock!

REMINDER – Dia de los Muertos: Part of our School Continuous Improvement Plan is to foster connections to various cultures. This invites students to make connections to cultures similar and different than their own. This year our building participated in Dia de los Muertos, which is a 2 day cultural celebration that took place on November 1st and 2nd by building an Ofrenda (a display of remembrance) to pay respects and to remember friends and family members who have passed. Attached is a picture of the display.
